Cagayan de Oro City — Shell Helix recently brought its Fast Track Auto Workshop Business Summit to Cagayan de Oro, gathering shop owners, mechanics, and longtime partners for a day of learning and collaboration.
Now on its second run, the Fast Track program has grown from a simple business platform into a space where independent workshops can exchange ideas, tackle real challenges, and pick up tools to improve their operations. The sessions focused on issues most workshop owners face daily, managing costs, adapting to digital systems, training staff, and meeting the changing expectations of car owners.
Unlike a franchise model, Fast Track is designed to guide, not dictate. “Our role is to help partners make decisions that fit their business and community,” said Ika Halili, head of Marketing and Business Development for Shell Lubricants. “It’s about sustainable growth, not just expansion.”
Participants said they appreciated how practical the advice was. Some left with new ways to track expenses, others with plans to add services or upgrade their shops. Many also valued the skills training and branding support that come with being part of the Fast Track network.
Shell Helix brand manager Jensen Garcia highlighted that each workshop’s progress benefits more than just its owners. “When a workshop grows, it creates jobs and strengthens its community,” he said.
Through Fast Track, Shell Helix aims to help local entrepreneurs build stronger, more competitive workshops by combining trusted lubricants with real business support.
