CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — In a pre-dawn raid, the Pilar Municipal Police Station apprehended three individuals in Barangay Alauli, seizing suspected shabu and an illegal firearm.
At 3:40 a.m. on 06 November 2025, authorities confiscated 27.24 grams of suspected shabu, estimated to be worth P185,232, along with a .45 caliber SIG SAUER 1911 pistol with a loaded magazine (serial number 54A047517). The suspects now face charges for violating Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act) and Republic Act 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act).
According to the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3), the operation marks a significant step in the local police’s ongoing campaign against illegal drugs and firearms.
PCOL Marites A. Salvadora, provincial director of Bataan, emphasized the importance of removing illegal drugs and unregistered firearms from the streets. “These items represent a clear and present danger to our citizens, particularly our youth,” she said.
Salvadora noted that the seizure is expected to positively impact the Pilar community by reducing the potential for drug abuse, violence, and related crimes.
The suspects remain in police custody while formal charges are being prepared. Authorities said further investigations are ongoing to trace the source of the seized items and determine possible links to other criminal networks.
