One year in the making, the inaugural 5150 FAB Triathlon is set to make history on 16 November, offering athletes a rare opportunity to fully immerse themselves in an exceptional racing experience at the Freeport Area of Bataan (FAB) in Mariveles.
From the 1.5-kilometer swim in the calm, crystalline waters of Camaya Coast, to the 40-km bike route along Bataan’s scenic and rolling terrain, and the 10-km run finale by the coast, every stage of the race is a true celebration of endurance, determination and the resilient Filipino spirit.
“Through the 5150 FAB Triathlon, we celebrate the enduring courage and faith that define the people of Bataan,” FAB Administrator and CEO Hussein Pangandaman said.
“This event not only honors our heritage but also underscores FAB’s vision to become the country’s next great hub for sports, tourism, and community development.”
The 5150 FAB Triathlon marks a significant milestone — it is the first Olympic-distance international triathlon ever held in Bataan. More than a race, it officially positions the Freeport Area of Bataan as a rising destination for sports tourism and a world-class venue for both local and international sporting events.
With its ideal blend of natural beauty, modern infrastructure, and top-tier hospitality, the FAB stands out as a model for sustainable sports development. Its roads, scenic coastal views and lush landscapes provide a stunning setting for triathlons, cycling tours, marathons and adventure races.
