The Muntinlupa City government has begun distributing its “Pamaskong Handog” packages to an estimated 138,000 families, marking the third straight year of the city’s Christmas program aimed at spreading cheer and support during the holiday season.
Mayor Ruffy Biazon said the distribution started on 4 November and is expected to be completed within the month. “For three years now, we’ve made sure that every family in Muntinlupa feels the spirit of Christmas,” Biazon said. “This isn’t just a package—it’s a symbol of care, unity, and our shared sense of community.”
Each Pamaskong Handog package includes holiday staples such as spaghetti sauce and pasta, elbow macaroni, champorado and arroz caldo mixes, canned goods—including corned beef, corned tuna, and meat loaf—fruit cocktail, and three kilos of rice.
Introducing a sustainable addition this year, the city packed the items in a reusable storage box that families can continue to use after the holidays, a move aligned with Muntinlupa’s push for environmentally-friendly initiatives.
The city’s annual distribution is among the most extensive Christmas outreach programs in Metro Manila, reflecting local efforts to strengthen community ties and provide practical relief amid rising costs of basic goods.
The Pamaskong Handog will continue throughout November, ensuring every qualified household receives their holiday package in time for Christmas.
