More than 4,200 residents from Tanza and nearby areas flocked to the Tanza Municipal Convention Center Tuesday to avail themselves of free government services, braving the inclement weather brought by typhoon “Tino.”
The Department of the Interior and Local Government confirmed that 4,212 residents attended the “Lab for All” caravan, a flagship initiative of First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos.
The caravan offered a wide range of free services, including medical and dental consultations, and various laboratory tests such as checks for vital signs, hemoglobin, fasting blood sugar, electrocardiograms, cholesterol, uric acid, urinalysis and X-rays.
Beneficiaries also received financial assistance, free medicines, eyeglasses, Bagong Pilipinas Digiboxes, ChariTimba from the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office and a family box from the Department of Social Welfare and Development.
