On 30 October 2025, Chinese tech conglomerate Xiaomi announced the Philippine launch of the REDMI Pad 2 Pro Series, a series of large-display tablets tailored for entertainment and gaming.
“Built for everyday entertainment, the REDMI Pad 2 Pro Series combines an expansive display, massive battery, immersive sound, and versatile features that adapt effortlessly to everyday use,” the company said in a press release.
The new series, which includes the Redmi Pad 2 Pro and Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G, features a 12.1-inch 2.5K display with Dolby Vision and an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate, offering users a smoother and more immersive viewing experience. The tablets are also equipped with quad speakers with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio for enhanced sound quality.
Powering the devices is the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 Mobile Platform, paired with a 12,000mAh battery—one of Xiaomi’s largest—supporting 33W fast charging and 27W reverse charging.
Running on Xiaomi HyperOS, the tablets integrate seamlessly with other Xiaomi devices through features like Call Sync, Shared Clipboard, and Home Screen+, allowing users to access mobile apps and files directly. Both models also support up to 2TB expandable storage and come with built-in Google Gemini AI and Circle to Search.
Complementing the launch are accessories such as the Redmi Smart Pen, Redmi Pad 2 Pro Keyboard, and Protective Cover, designed to enhance productivity and creative use.
The Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G (8+256GB) is priced at P19,999, bundled with a free keyboard until November 20, while the Redmi Pad 2 Pro (8+256GB) retails for P17,599. The devices will be available starting November 7 via Xiaomi’s official Shopee and Lazada stores and at authorized retailers nationwide.
