CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — In a coordinated crackdown on 30 October 2025, the Bataan Police Provincial Office (BPPO) arrested six wanted suspects across six municipalities and seized an illegal firearm in Bagac, according to reports from the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3).

The operations, spearheaded by Bataan Provincial Director PCol. Marites A. Salvadora, targeted high-priority suspects linked to crimes ranging from theft to violence against women and children. In Limay, a man wanted for qualified theft was apprehended, while Hermosa police arrested a suspect accused of direct assault upon a person in authority. Pilar authorities detained an individual sought for robbery with force upon things, and Morong police captured a fugitive facing estafa charges.

Two arrests highlighted crimes against vulnerable populations: Dinalupihan police took into custody a suspect accused of serious physical injuries under RA 7610, which protects children from abuse, while Abucay authorities arrested a person violating RA 9262, the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act.

Separately, Bagac police executed a search warrant in Barangay Banawang, arresting a 54-year-old driver for illegal possession of a .38-caliber revolver and assorted ammunition. The suspect, who failed to present documentation for the firearm, faces charges under RA 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.

PCol. Salvadora underscored the operations’ broader intent: “These arrests prevent repeat offenses and send a clear message: Bataan will not tolerate crimes that destabilize communities.” She added that the confiscation of illegal firearms remains critical to curbing violence, stating, “Loose guns in irresponsible hands endanger lives. We will pursue all means to neutralize these threats.”

All suspects are undergoing processing, with cases set for filing in local courts. The confiscated firearm will undergo ballistic analysis to determine links to unresolved crimes.

With Undas approaching, Salvadora called on residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity, vowing “zero leniency” against those who threaten provincial security.
