Progressive groups condemn ICI over slow flood control probe

Progressive groups clashed with security personnel as they attempted to enter the Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) building in Taguig City on Friday, 24 October 2025, to protest the alleged lack of transparency in the investigation of flood control project anomalies. Groups including Kalikasan PNE condemned what they described as “whitewashing and cover-ups” in the corruption probe, citing the lack of progress despite evidence reportedly presented by whistleblower contractors. The groups demanded the immediate disclosure of all findings and accountability for officials implicated in the alleged misconduct.
