Ayala-backed Globe Telecom Inc. has expanded its footprint in Davao City to help meet rising demand for mobile and data services in one of Mindanao’s key economic centers.
The company said Monday that it rolled out new cell sites in Catalunan Grande, Manambulan, Barangay 30-C, Barangay 15-B, Talomo, Lizada, Sto. Niño, and Ladislawa Buhangin, widening coverage in high-growth communities where digital activity continues to surge.
“These upgrades are not only strengthening day-to-day communications but also helping residents and businesses tap into wider economic and social opportunities,” Globe said.
According to Globe, the network expansion is expected to support businesses that depend on e-commerce and online platforms, as well as students and professionals who rely on connectivity for remote learning and hybrid work.
Globe said households will also benefit from better access to mobile banking, telemedicine, government portals, and entertainment platforms, while tourists and travelers can expect stronger signal coverage for navigation and cashless transactions.
Globe has also reinforced its 5G presence in the city, enabling faster streaming, smoother gaming, and improved data services.
Prepaid customers can maximize the upgraded network through Go+99 with free 4GB for 5G, while TM subscribers can access EasySURF 50 5G. Postpaid users may choose from GPlan offers, and eligible households and offices can connect via Globe At Home broadband.
