The Rotary Club of Bagumbayan-Manila (RCBM) is set to present its prestigious recognition to the Ten Outstanding Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) for 2025–2026 on 23 October 2025, at the Gloria Maris Shark Fin Restaurant at the Mall of Asia (MoA).
RCBM president Allen Rios announced the list of recipients who will receive special plaques during the ceremony, which include Danny Buenafe, a journalist for ABS-CBN covering the Middle East and European countries; Gelacio Pili, who works for ABV Rock Group and Kellog Brown & Root across the Middle East, Africa and Australia; Emma del Rio, a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with Etisalat in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, and a spokesperson for the Filipino community during the official visit of Pope Francis.
Also to be feted are Art Quebal, a CPA with Philippine National Bank in Middle East countries; Mary Ann Perioles, working in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; Capt. Eulalio Morala Dano, former Port Captain at Maritech Shipmanagement in Tokyo; Edmundo Daus, from Taiwan; Philip Rivera, also from Taiwan; Capt. Juanito Salvatierra Jr., President of BEAMKO Shipmanagement Corporation; and Capt. Jonas Earl Afdal, Master Mariner at Tokyo Fuji Shipping Co., Ltd.
District governor Mary Mei Rodrigo of Rotary International District 3810 will serve as the guest of honor and speaker, presenting the awards.
This year marks the seventh iteration of the awards, one of the RCBM’s flagship projects. The steering committee is led by Overall Chairman and Past President Manny Inserto.
