

A fire broke out in a residential area of Pateros on Sunday morning, but was swiftly contained by firefighters in less than an hour.
The blaze started around 10:24 a.m. near the corner of C. Almeda and P. Herrera Streets, behind a school, according to initial reports from the Bureau of Fire Protection.
Fire trucks arrived at the scene within three minutes, prompting authorities to raise the first alarm by 10:28 a.m.
The flames were declared under control at 10:46 a.m. and fully extinguished by 11:16 a.m.
No injuries or fatalities were reported, while officials were still assessing the extent of property damage.
Fire investigators have yet to determine the cause of the incident.
