The Philippines has become the homecourt for Asians to compete in the first-ever Slaysian Royale franchise of Drag Race

In the first episode of Drag Race Philippines Slaysian Royale that aired on 13 August, five Filipino queens compete for the crown with other seven Asian queens.

Drag Race Philippines season one's Brigiding and Viñas Deluxe, and Arizona Brandy and Bernie from season two, showed how well Filipino queens can "werk" it when put against queens from different countries.

From sickening looks on the runway to making the dance floors quake, the Filipino drag artists showed a variety of comedy, glamour, alternative, and fierce performances that proudly showed our Asian heritage.

But one Filipino slayed the first episode with a flawless victory: Khianna with a K. She won both the hairflip dance-off mini challenge and the Miss Shuttacca pageant main challenge.

But the Filipinas were kept on their toes by queens from other franchises like Yuhua from the United States, Sum Ting Wong from France, Suki Doll from Canada, Siam Phusri from Thailand, Kitty Space from France, Ivory Glaze from Australia, and Madam Yoko from Belgium who was the first one to be sent home.

In the past four years, Drag Race Philippines has been one of the top franchises in the world, along with the US and Spain, getting stellar reviews online and a solid following in viewership and social media engagements.
