The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) will continue to closely monitor Topflite Academy of Aviation (TAAI) despite the lifting of its suspension.

The suspension of TAAI follows the crash of a Cessna RP-C2211 aircraft in Zambales during a training flight last 11 July. The crash occurred around 9:00 a.m which left four people injured including the flight instructor and three student pilots.

CAAP said it lifted the suspension last 6 August but mandated the academy to submit corrective action plans to address findings during the inspection.

All pilots involved in the crash remain suspended.

CAAP on Sunday said it has not disclosed the results of its initial findings citing ongoing investigation.

"Topflite Academy will remain in heightened monitoring and surveillance to ensure compliance with all safety requirements,” CAAP said.
