The Rizal Police Provincial Office arrested six individuals in separate buy-bust operations, seizing P572,560 worth of suspected illegal drugs in San Mateo, Rizal on Friday evening and early Saturday morning.
In the first buy-bust operation, conducted around 10:02 PM in Barangay Sto. Niño, authorities arrested alias Elboy, 28, and alias King, 31 — both newly identified high-value individuals.
Confiscated from them were seven heat-sealed plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing approximately 42 grams, with a street value of P285,600.
In the next operation, conducted around 1:20 AM Saturday in Barangay Banaba, four more drug suspects — identified only by their aliases Michael, 40; Malou, 48; Jojie, 48; and Utching, 43 — were also arrested. They are all newly identified high-value individuals.
Seized from them were 42.20 grams of suspected shabu amounting to P286,960. Several drug paraphernalia were also recovered, including a weighing scale, scissors, plastic sachets, aluminum foil, lighter, cellphone, and buy-bust money.
All six arrested suspects are now detained at the San Mateo Municipal Police Station custodial facility while the authorities prepare appropriate charges against them for violations of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
