The Bureau of Corrections has given its “in principle” approval for public utility vehicles to pass through the New Bilibid Prison (NBP) reservation, providing a new route for students and staff of Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa and Muntinlupa National High School, according to Mayor Ruffy Biazon.
In a statement Thursday, Biazon said the new access will be subject to several conditions. Public utility vehicles will be allowed to operate from 4 a.m. to 10 a.m., with designated drop-off points at Itaas Elementary School and near Muntinlupa National High School.
Drivers will be required to wear proper attire, pass a drug test, and display identification numbers.
A simulation with empty jeeps will be conducted before full operations begin Monday.
Biazon added that the city government is also in talks with the South Green Heights Subdivision to use its access road.
