The president and CEO of Aboitiz InfraCapital (AIC), the infrastructure arm of the Aboitiz Group, has stressed that leapfrogging development cannot be done without basic infrastructure.
Cosette V. Canilao delivered a keynote speech at the 2025 Innovator’s Summit focusing on why infrastructure remains the backbone of inclusive progress.
“Roads, water systems, digital connectivity, airports — these are the bones of a thriving economy. At AIC, we define infrastructure not only as what we build, but what it enables – livelihoods, education, mobility, dignity,” Canilao said.
AIC reinforced Canilao’s message with this Facebook post: As we continue to develop water systems, airports, economic estates, and digital connectivity, our mission remains clear: To build infrastructure that empowers communities and drives sustainable growth. We are shaping a future where collaboration fuels innovation, and infrastructure becomes a bridge to opportunity.
