Actor and devoted father Patrick Garcia is redefining what it means to raise daughters with intention, grace, and faith. In a candid interview on Toni Talks with Toni Gonzaga, Patrick opened up about how fatherhood has transformed him and why he’s committed to being a man his children can look up to—especially his daughters.
“Usually with girls, you become more protective when it comes to love and relationships as they grow older,” Patrick shared. “And if I’m gonna be their benchmark for choosing a guy, I want to set the bar high in terms of how I treat them.”
For Patrick, parenting isn’t just about teaching values through words—it’s about living them daily. He emphasized how children, like sponges, absorb what they see more than what they’re told. That’s why he’s intentional about modeling respect, patience, and faith in the way he parents.
“They copy everything—even the bad things,” he said. “So you really have to be careful with what they see from you.”
When asked what he hopes to instill in his children, Patrick answered without hesitation: faith.
“Building the faith, starting from loving the Lord. That’s what I always try to teach my kids,” he said, reflecting on the importance of laying a spiritual foundation early in life.
Toni agreed, noting that a father’s presence—or absence—can shape how a child, particularly a daughter, views love and life.
Patrick nodded in agreement: “Feeling ko, ang laki ng influence ng tatay sa anak na babae.”
Today, Patrick Garcia is not just an actor known for his film and television roles—he’s a hands-on dad striving to lead with love, anchored in faith. And if his daughters grow up looking to him as their standard for how a man should treat them, he says with quiet conviction: he wants that bar set high.
Because for Patrick, fatherhood isn’t about perfection. It’s about presence, purpose, and planting seeds of love that will last a lifetime.
