At least 37 of Cebu’s 51 vice mayors on Thursday expressed their full support for the administration of Governor Pamela Baricuatro.

“It could be an impossible dream that I could make you love me this early, but my only goal is for us to work together,” Baricuatro said during a “get-to-know-you” dialogue, where she set aside political differences to prioritize public service.

“You will always have my support if our aim is to help the people,” she stressed, assuring her full backing as long as public welfare remains the focus.

Discussions during the meeting centered on critical areas such as improving healthcare services at the local government level, skills training for constituents, priority programs and projects, and environmental protection efforts.

“I am seeking your help; let’s help each other to attain the tasks ahead,” Baricuatro urged the vice mayors.

During the meeting, a consensus was reached to retain Balamban Vice Mayor Alfie Binghay as the president of the Vice Mayors League — Cebu Chapter.

The vice mayors raised several issues with the governor, including medicine needs in their local government units and the demand for skills training programs for their constituents. Baricuatro disclosed that her administration has developed skills training programs that lead to employment.
