After years of staying silent, actress Yen Santos has chosen to step back into the spotlight—not with a teleserye or a film—but through her very own YouTube channel. And in a bold move, her debut vlog pulls no punches.
Titled “Questions I Am Desperate To Answer,” the 13-minute video marks not only Yen’s first foray into digital content creation, but also a turning point in her personal journey. With no dramatic background music or scripted fanfare, Yen sits down for an honest and emotionally charged conversation—one she’s long owed to herself and her supporters.
Among the questions she bravely tackled was about her most talked-about former relationship—an episode in her life that played out in both headlines and hashtags.
“Napakalaking blessing na natapos na yun,” she began, her tone unwavering yet heavy with emotion. “Malaking blessing na nagising na ako dun sa nightmare na yun and I walked away kasi hindi talaga worth it. It wasn’t worth wasting my time, my energy, sa someone na kino-control ka and mina-manipulate ka. That kind of life drains you.”
For the first time, Yen gave her side of the story with stunning vulnerability. She described how the person she thought she knew turned out to be someone else entirely. “Sa una kasi, hindi naman yan magpapakilala eh. The person I met in the beginning? That wasn’t really him. The one I saw in the end? Yun talaga siya.”
Her words were more than just revelations—they were reflections shaped by pain, accountability, and hard-earned growth. She admitted that her choices caused pain not just to herself, but to others, and for that, she did not make excuses.
“May mga taong nasaktan dun sa maling choices mo and it was wrong. Para sakin, yung ganung klaseng tao? Matatauhan ka talaga kapag ganun ka tina-trato,” she said somberly. “Nung una kasi, jinu-justify mo na okay ’to, masaya kami, pero meron kang part sa sarili mo na alam mong hindi.”
And then came the clearest moment of all—a sincere apology.
“I am so sorry,” she said. “Wala po akong excuse dun. Mali po talaga ako.”
For her fans and even critics, this wasn’t just a celebrity opening a YouTube channel—it was a woman reclaiming her voice after the storm. With no filters and no façade, Yen Santos showed a version of herself not often seen in public: introspective, remorseful, and finally, free.
As she closes one chapter and begins another, it’s clear that Yen’s story—on her own terms—is just getting started.
