American actor Chace Crawford celebrated his 40th birthday on Friday with none other than Filipina-American model Kelsey Merritt — and fans are curious if romance is in the air.

Crawford, best known for his roles as The Deep in The Boys and Nate Archibald in Gossip Girl, shared Instagram Stories of birthday tributes from friends and colleagues. But what truly caught everyone’s attention were two posts featuring the stunning young model.

In one story, Merritt is all smiles as she presents Crawford with a birthday cake that reads, "Happy birthday, darling." In another, the two pose for a mirror selfie wearing matching black outfits, with the actor's hand resting on Merritt’s waist.

Romance rumors began swirling earlier this year when the pair were spotted grabbing coffee together, followed by their first public appearance at a Tiffany & Co. event in April.
