The newly created Judiciary Marshals have been mobilized by the Supreme Court to conduct immediate investigation in coordination with the Philippine National Police (PNP) Anti-Cybercrime Group and the National Bureau of Investigation Anti Cybercrime Division in connection with the threat received by the Pasig Court.

The investigation aimed to identify and apprehend the perpetrator and pursue the appropriate legal actions.

To protect the integrity of the ongoing investigation and the safety of those concerned, further details remain confidential at this time.

The Supreme Court said the judiciary remains committed to upholding judicial independence.

On the other hand, judges will continue to carry out their duties with integrity and calm resolve, guided by fairness and the rule of law.

The high bench urged the public and all stakeholders to remain vigilant and to continue supporting the judicial process with trust and respect.

This after the Pasig Court received email messages to several Pasig RTC Branches on 16 July 2025.

It said the court on Wednesday morning, 16 July 2025, received email messages containing death threats directed at unnamed judges.

This prompted the Pasig RTC to coordinate immediately with the Pasig City Police, who dispatched a SWAT Team to the Pasig City Hall of Justice to secure the safety of judges, court personnel, court users, and the public.

The post was created under Republic Act No. 11691 or the Judiciary Marshals Act, was established to address increasing threats against members of the Judiciary.

The SC en banc earlier has appointed retired Brigadier General Manuel R. Gaerlan as the first Chief Marshal of the newly established Office of the Judiciary Marshals (OJM).
