The Police Regional Police in Central Visayas (PRO-7) confiscated over a half a billion pesos worth of illegal drugs from January to June 2025.
The seizures resulted into the arrest of nearly 5,000 drug personalities.
PRO-7 conducted 4,101 anti- illegal drug operations, leading to the apprehension of 238 high-value targets, 2,522 street-level individuals and 1,973 newly identified drug personalities.
Data showed that 76,120.35 grams of shabu were confiscated with estimated street value of P517,618,380.
Other seized items included marijuana plants worth P3,038,814.50, 250 grams of cocaine valued at P1,325,000 and 60 Ecstasy tablets worth P102,000.
“We will not let up. Every gram of shabu taken off the streets, every pusher and trafficker arrested, is a victory for every community in Central Visayas. Our men in uniform have risked their lives to protect our people and these results reflect their dedication, professionalism and unyielding resolve to make our region safer,” said PRO-7 Director Brig. Gen. Redrico Maranan.
“We call on the public to continue supporting our campaign by reporting drug-related activities and working hand in hand with us to create a drug-free Central Visayas.”
