The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) are ramping up efforts to boost digitalization and streamline public service through a landmark partnership.
In a Facebook post, CHED Chairwoman Dr. Shirley C. Agrupis shared highlights from a productive Saturday meeting with DICT Secretary Henry Aguda, Usec. Faye Condez de Sagun, Asec. Migui Planas, Dir. Che Grabador, Dir. Wikz Gaudan, and other DICT officials.
The discussion centered on strengthening connectivity across all 17 CHED regional offices and finalizing preparations for the launch of the Electronic Certification, Authentication, and Verification (eCAV) system.
The eCAV system is designed to digitize the issuance and verification of academic records, significantly reducing processing time while helping to prevent document fraud. It is expected to improve access to accurate academic information and enhance CHED’s delivery of services.
