Listed clean energy firm Alternergy Holdings Corp. is powering ahead with the construction of its 128-megawatt (MW) Tanay Wind Power Project following the arrival of wind turbine generators (WTGs) that will soon rise over the Rizal highlands.

The company, through its subsidiary Alternergy Tanay Wind  Corp.  (ATWC), said on Friday that the shipment, consisting of 12 90-meter blades and other components, arrived at its constructed jetty in Dinahican Port, Infanta, Quezon.

Each turbine, supplied by Envision Energy, will have a capacity of 8MW, making them the largest to be installed in the country.

“We are excited to see this project take shape and make a real, lasting impact on the country's energy landscape. We remain fully engaged with our partners, local stakeholders, and government agencies to ensure the successful completion of this landmark project,” ATWC president Knud Hedeager said.

With rotor diameters of 182 meters and tower heights nearing 200 meters, the turbines will soon take shape on site. Additional shipments are expected in the coming months to complete the project.

The Tanay Wind Project is one of five projects under construction as part of Alternergy’s goal to deliver 500 MW of capacity by 2026.
