South Palms Resort & Spa Panglao, operated by MGallery Collection under France-based hospitality giant Accor, is set to open in August, introducing a new luxury resort experience in Bohol to help boost the province’s growing tourism industry.

Located on Panglao Island’s beachfront and just five kilometers from Bohol-Panglao International Airport, the 188-room resort combines sustainable design with cultural storytelling.

“South Palms Resort & Spa Panglao - MGallery Collection is more than just a destination; it's a living narrative,” Danish Khan, the resort’s General Manager, said on Thursday.

“We offer signature experiences that bring the story of Bohol to every guest journey. We have created a place where local culture comes alive, where nature and luxury exist in harmony, and where guests can create meaningful connections that transform every stay into a personal story.”

Designed by Patricia Ho of White Jacket, Philip Pond of Atelier Pond, and Patrick Keane of Enter Projects Asia, the resort uses locally sourced materials, biophilic architecture, and indigenous design elements to reflect Bohol’s cultural and natural heritage.

The property features a spiraled Walk Bridge, a banyan tree-inspired lobby, and rustic-chic rooms with bamboo, rattan, and coconut wood accents.

The resort offers a variety of low-impact, culture-based experiences including snorkeling, spa treatments, visits to a nearby sustainable farm, and participation in traditional rituals.

Guests can also enjoy locally inspired cuisine from four restaurants and a signature MGallery "M Moment" experience featuring asin tibuok, a rare artisanal sea salt unique to Bohol.
