BAGUIO CITY — Following a strong reelection, Apayao Governor Elias C. Bulut Jr. is urging his fellow officials, stakeholders and the entire provincial workforce to renew their commitment to unity and hard work in building a more progressive Apayao.

Bulut emphasized that the recent election results signify the public’s approval of the administration’s “collective monumental accomplishments” over the past three years. He called on all incoming leaders to honor the trust placed in them by actively contributing to the province’s development.

“Your election is a manifestation of the people’s trust in your potential capability to contribute in furthering our province’s development,” he stated, urging officials to “give justice to the trust and confidence that our constituents have bestowed.”

The Governor highlighted Apayao’s remarkable recovery from the pandemic, attributing it to the province’s Development Agenda implemented since 2022. This agenda, he noted, not only facilitated the province’s rebound but also garnered “numerous awards, accolades, and distinction for excellence.”

A significant milestone cited was Apayao’s inscription as the country’s fourth UNESCO biosphere reserve, a landmark achievement for the province’s environmental conservation efforts.

He extended his gratitude to the provincial workforce, crediting them for the successful execution of government initiatives.

“Without you, we could not have accomplished this much,” he said, expressing his expectation for continued “commitment, dedication and hard work.”

Bulut also called upon national agencies to maintain their involvement, stating, “I look forward for more convergence undertaking and program complementation amongst us in the next three years.”

Among the notable infrastructure achievements, the Governor cited the provision of new buildings for PhilHealth and the Department of Education, along with various school buildings and evacuation centers.
