Alas Pilipinas win first VTV Cup match, takes down Chinese club

Alas Pilipinas finally produced a win in the 25-12, 25-22, 19-25, 25-15, over Sichuan Wuliangchun of China in the VTV International Women’s Cup on Monday at Vinh Phuc Gymnasium in Vietnam.

Alas now hold a 1-1 win-loss record as they are now in third place in Group A.

A win over Australia on Tuesday at 3 p.m. (Manila time) will give the Philippines a better seeding ahead of the crossover quarterfinal.
