Prime Infra, through its corporate social arm, Prime Infra Foundation (PIF), participated in the Department of Education’s “Brigada Eskwela” by rolling out activities that support school readiness, including the promotion of health and disaster preparedness.
From 9 to 13 June 2025, employee-volunteers of Prime Infra were mobilized in partner schools within host communities located in Batangas, Cavite, Cebu, Laguna, Pampanga and Rizal. The volunteers participated in classroom and facility cleaning, repainting and repairs. They also donated equipment and distributed school supply.
In Cebu and Rizal, “Brigada Eskwela” included medical missions dedicated to teachers.
“Recognizing the vital role of education, we have made this initiative a yearly commitment. This year, we also prioritized the well-being of our teachers to help them prepare for the responsibilities of another school year,” said the PIF.
At the Pakil Senior High School in Laguna, emergency kits and safety hats were distributed to help strengthen the school’s disaster and risk reduction management.
“Our mission to prepare our school for class opening will be successful. We will again prove that education is a responsibility of the whole community,” said Leah Mendiola, who works as a teacher at Pakil high school.
Meanwhile, Miriam Galleros, a day care worker at Barangay Gonzales in Pakil, Laguna, said that the emergency kits provided by Prime Infra will significantly enhance the day care center’s disaster preparedness.
PIF has been showing its support for the nationwide “Brigada Eskwela” since 2023. For this year, the company allocated over P5 million for the initiative, covering 15 schools and benefiting close to 10,000 students and 400 teachers.
