Hyundai’s high-performance N brand marked a major milestone at the ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring race, securing its fifth consecutive win in the TCR class while celebrating its 10th straight year at the event. The 24-hour endurance race, known for its brutal test of man and machine, remains Hyundai’s key proving ground for performance and durability.

Two ELANTRA N TCR cars represented the brand in the TCR class, while the ELANTRA N1 Cup car made its debut in the SP3T category. The race, held June 21–22 in Nürburg, Germany, saw both ELANTRA N TCR entries complete the event, one of the world’s toughest tests for any car.

Hyundai N’s ELANTRA N TCR (known as the AVANTE N TCR in Korea) swept the TCR class with a dominant one-two finish, securing Hyundai N’s fifth consecutive class win and underlining the superior durability and performance of N products.

“We are elated with our fifth straight victory in the Nürburgring TCR class and our 10th consecutive year of participation,” said Joon Park, Vice President and Head of N Brand Management Group. “Being part of this celebration of endurance, innovation, and global collaboration reflects our unwavering commitment to motorsport and our high-performance heritage. It enables us to continue advancing high-performance N brand technology and delivering cars that provide true driving pleasure.”

The ADAC RAVENOL 24-hour Nürburgring stands among the world’s most demanding endurance races, challenging drivers and teams to conquer the legendary 25.378-kilometer Nürburgring Nordschleife in a grueling 24-hour test of speed, skill, and stamina. Since its debut at the event in 2016, Hyundai has leveraged this platform to advance the capabilities of its production-based N brand vehicles. The race also serves as a key data gathering opportunity to improve performance and durability, underscoring the company’s commitment to innovation and excellence.

Hyundai N continues to dominate the TCR class

Hyundai N’s TCR team secured its fifth consecutive class victory, led by a German driver lineup featuring Marc Basseng, Manuel Lauck, and Christer Joens in ELANTRA N #1. Meanwhile, the North American team — comprising Bryson Morris, Michael Louis, Mason Filipp,i and Robert Wickens — delivered a strong performance in ELANTRA N #2, finishing in a well-earned second place.

Wickens’ return to racing following a 2024 hiatus was especially noteworthy. Driving with a custom hand-control system, the paraplegic Canadian athlete once again demonstrated elite-level skill and determination. His story of resilience embodies Hyundai Motor’s belief that motorsport is for anyone with the passion to dream.

Hyundai also debuted in the SP3T class with the ELANTRA N1 Cup car. However, the ELANTRA N1 Cup car was forced to retire from the race after 17 hours due to a rear-end collision with another competitor.

Hyundai also joined forces with Toyota to host a joint booth at this year’s Nürburgring 24 Hours, demonstrating how motorsport can foster collaboration beyond competition. Together, the two brands shared their mutual passion for performance and innovation with fans from around the world. This partnership builds on the spirit of camaraderie established at the “Hyundai N x TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Festival” held at Korea’s Yongin Speedway in October 2024 and most recently, executives from both companies attended the final round of the 2024 World Rally Championship (WRC) in Japan.
