Pasay City formally expressed its intention to join and become the latest member of the Maharlika Pilipinas Volleyball Association (MPVA).

No less than Pasay City Mayor Imelda “Emi” Calixto Rubiano met with ranking MPVA officials, headed by MPVA commissioner Mike Tavera, to signify their willingness to join and compete in the fastest-growing regional women’s volleyball league in the country.

Aside from Calixto-Rubiano and Tavera, also witnessing the signing of the memorandum of agreement that was held last Monday at the Pasay City Hall were Maharlika Pilipinas Volleyball League (MPVL) president Emerson Oreta and legal counsel Atty. Glenn Gacal as well as Pasay City team manager Maan Leanne Rubiano.

MPVL is the group that owns the MPVA franchise.

It will be Pasay City’s second team in the tournament founded by eight-time world boxing champion and former Senator Manny Pacquiao.

Aside from the MPVA, the Pasay City Voyagers are also seeing action in the ongoing Manny Pacquiao presents 1xBet-Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League 2025 Season.
