A 27-year-old man listed as the third most wanted person at the station level in Taguig City was arrested on Friday evening, 27 June, for crimes of lascivious conduct.
The suspect, identified only by the alias “Ferdinand,” was apprehended at 5:40 p.m. by operatives of the Taguig City Police Station led by officer-in-charge PCol. Byron Allatog.
According to the Southern Police District, the suspect was arrested based on three separate warrants of arrest issued by Judge Loralie Cruz Datahan of Regional Trial Court Branch 69.
The charges fall under Section 5(b) of Republic Act 7610, or the Special Protection Against Child Abuse, Exploitation, and Discrimination Act.
Each criminal case carries a recommended bail of P200,000.
Under RA 7610, Section 5(b), acts of lasciviousness committed against a child involved in prostitution or sexual abuse are criminal offenses.
If the victim is under 12 years old, the offense is elevated to rape or acts of lasciviousness under the Revised Penal Code.
The suspect underwent a mandatory medical examination at Taguig Pateros District Hospital before being detained at the city’s custodial facility.
