Muntinlupa Mayor Ruffy Biazon led the ceremonial turnover of free “Balik Eskwela” packages for Early Childhood Education (ECED) students recently as part of the city’s annual back-to-school support initiative.
In a Facebook post, Biazon underscored the importance of investing in young learners and thanked Muntinlupa taxpayers for making the program possible for the third consecutive year.
“It takes a village to raise a child,” Biazon said. “That’s why I’m thankful to all the taxpayers in the city. Because of your support, we’ve been able to provide free school supplies for our students for three straight years.”
The initiative ensures young learners, especially those in critical developmental stages, have access to basic educational materials. The city government, Biazon added, is committed to removing barriers like a lack of supplies to ensure a quality learning experience for all.
“Early Childhood Education is a crucial period in a child’s development,” Biazon said. “We want to make sure that no child is left behind due to something as basic as not having school supplies.”
Parents with concerns regarding the distribution of the free school supply kits should coordinate directly with their children’s schools or assigned Child Development Teachers.
