Wedding ring

The EDSA Busway is exclusive to commuter buses, but ambulances and vehicles carrying the President, Vice President, Chief Justice, Senate President and Speaker of the House of Representatives may use it, too.
Still, ineligible motorists and riders pass through parts of the bus lane and they are stopped and ticketed by enforcers along the route.
One prolific violator was recorded using the busway 309 times, according to the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA).
MMDA Chairman Romando Artes said the violator might have been using the busway at night when there are no traffic enforcers. CCTV cameras, however, were able to record his transgressions.
The identity of the recidivist was not released but he faces fines of up to P150,000, reports said.
Artes said they may also ask the Land Transportation Office to suspend his driver’s license.
Meanwhile, in the Netherlands, the A10 motorway that runs around the Dutch capital Amsterdam was not exclusive to motorists on 21 June.
Eighteen couples used the ring-like highway for their wedding as part of celebrations marking the 750th anniversary of the city.
The weddings on the circular motorway took place from 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. with each couple given 30 minutes to hold their ceremony in one tent and their reception in another tent for one hour, Agence France-Presse reports.
The newlyweds told reporters their “wedding in the ring” was a unique experience as strangers greeted them and they felt famous being interviewed and photographed by paparazzi.
