Missing DLSU student found dead in Cavite

A 25-year-old student from De La Salle University at Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, who had been reported missing since 8 June, was found dead in Naic, Cavite, on Saturday, 21 June.

Anthony Granada was last seen leaving his condominium along C-5 Road in Taguig City, where he boarded a Grab vehicle.

CCTV footage later showed him walking alone on the Lopez Jaena Bridge in Manila at around 9:20 PM on 17 June, according to police authorities.

On 21 June, the Naic Police received a report about a decomposing body found in a vacant lot in Barangay Sapa. Upon verification, the victim’s father, Ricky Granada, confirmed that the body was indeed that of his son.

Following an initial investigation, authorities ruled out foul play as the cause of death.

In a statement posted on Facebook, Mr. Granada requested privacy as the family mourns their loss.

According to a 16 June Facebook post by the Taguig City Police Station, Anthony Granada was frequently in the Taguig area for academic purposes. He was last seen wearing a white sweater, blue jogging pants with two yellow stripes, and white Crocs slippers.
