The Junior Golf Foundation of the Philippines (JGFP) is aiming to have 100 young golfers join the Superkit Philippine Tour that will start on 19 July at The Vineyard Golf Club in Tanauan, Batangas.
JGFP president Oliver Gan said in an episode of “Off the Court” Thursday afternoon that they could attract around 100 golfers per leg.
The competition will start at Vineyard and then will be held at the Eagle Ridge Golf and Country Club in General Trias, Cavite.
On 10 August, the last leg will be at the Summit Point Golf and Country Club in Makati City for the girls and Mount Malarayat Golf and Country Club in Lipa City for the boys.
“We will be opening registration next week and we are targeting 80 to 100 golfers per leg since slots are limited,” Gan told hosts Mark Escarlote and Jason Mago.
“We want to give VIP treatment to the participants as we cater to them.”
“The Vineyard golf course just opened two months ago. It's a very exclusive course. Now we are very lucky that their owner, Mr. James Ang and their director, Bong Igaya, opened their golf course for the junior golfers.”
Interested golfers will have to pay an entrance fee of 4900 pesos and will be given a Superkit bag.
The competition will be divided into five age groups: The 15-18 category, 13-14 category, 11-12 category, 9-10 category, and 8-6 category.
