Land Transportation Office (LTO) chief, Assistant Secretary Atty. Vigor D. Mendoza II on Thursday said they have suspended the license of a driver of a public utility vehicle (PUV) which figured in a deadly road crash in Tacloban City on 10 June.
In a report from LTO Region 8 Regional Director Ledwino Macariola to Mendoza, a show cause order (SCO) was already issued against the driver wherein he was asked to explain why his driver’s license should not be revoked for reckless driving and being an improper person to operate a motor vehicle.
The SCO stemmed from the road crash at the Airport Road in Barangay San Jose, Tacloban City wherein a PUV crashed on the lamp post at the center island of the road.
The incident resulted in the death of two passengers and injury to several other passengers.
