Alex Eala's journey in the Ilkley Open continues after a 6-1, 6-2 win over Valentina Ryser of Switzerland in the Round of 16 in Great Britain Thursday evening (Manila time).
Eala needed one hour and eight minutes as she advances to the quarterfinal.
The 20-year-old Rafael Nadal Academy graduate previously defeated Filipino-Australian netter Lizette Cabrera, 7-6, 6-3, in the Round of 16 last Wednesday.
