CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga — Two big time catches were made on Friday in the provinces of Pangasinan and Bulacan, reaffirming the government’s thrust in preventing illegal activities in Luzon.
In the province of Pangasinan, fishermen surrendered over a billion pesos worth of suspected shabu to the authorities.
According to them, these illegal drugs were found floating in the shores of Pangasinan since 5 June.
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) reported that the illegal drugs were placed inside a total of 267 transparent plastic packs.
The total weight of the drugs were estimated at roughly 267 kilograms worth a P1,815,600,000.
The floating suspected shabu packs were turned over by the fishermen to combined operatives of the PDEA, Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Philippine National Police (PNP), Philippine Navy (PN) and the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) with the support from the Local Government Units of Agno, Bani and Bolinao, Pangasinan.
