The local government of Muntinlupa City is undergoing validation for the Rafael M. Salas Kaunlarang Pantao Award, with Mayor Ruffy Biazon expressing optimism for a positive outcome.
In a social media post, Biazon disclosed that the city previously secured second place in the 2022 awards, a testament to its strong commitment to population and development programs.
“We are participating again this year, and I am hopeful for a positive result from today’s validation,” Biazon said, reflecting on the city’s past successes.
In 2022, Muntinlupa City was recognized for its exemplary performance in several key areas amidst the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic.
It was named the Most Outstanding City in advancing the Adolescent Health and Development Program in Metro Manila, the Most Outstanding City in advancing Population and Development Integration in Metro Manila and the Most Outstanding City in advancing the Responsible Parenthood and Family Planning Program in Metro Manila.
Top-ranked cities and municipalities in 2022 received cash prizes, with first placers receiving P200,000, second placers P150,000 and third placers P100,000.
