The Speedcat, originally inspired by F1 drivers, has evolved into a timeless streetstyle favorite.In 2024, PUMA brought the low-profile silhouette sneakers back in the spotlight and its return from the archives.

An exclusive launch event at Monza Barcade in Pasig celebrated the release of the iconic Puma Speedcat OG on Zalora (Asia’s leading online fashion platform).

The neon-lit venue was transformed into a race-inspired playground and attracted a star-studded mix of influencers, fashion tastemakers and motorsport enthusiasts who experienced the thrill and versatility of the Speedcat firsthand.

Notable guests included actor Nikki Co, internet personality Joaquin Tiu and content creator Charles Graydon, who took on the race simulations.

Gracing the event were supermodel Jessica Yang, host and actress Janeena Chan, creator and model EJ Nacion, Filipino-Canadian actor Michael Sager and actor/singer Derrick Monasterio — all dressed up the Speedcat OG with their uniqueness, showcasing style individuality and versatility.

Originally designed for F1 drivers in the late ‘90s, the Speedcat OG features a low-profile silhouette, suede upper and tire tread-inspired outsole — a nod to its racing legacy. Now available in various colorways on Zalora, the sneaker appeals to a new generation of style-savvy consumers seeking performance and nostalgia.
