First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos was 100-percent supportive of the pronouncement of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. in promoting Sunday as the official day for the family, no ifs, no buts.
The First Family on Sunday joined the President for the launch of the Pamilya Pass 1+3 promo, where three free tickets for family members will be given when a fourth member buys a ticket for the Metro Rail Transit (MRT)-3 and Light Rail Transit (LRT)-1 and LRT-2 on a Sunday.
“We hope that Filipino families will be given a chance to experience what Sunday feels like. Sundays should be dedicated to families. We all know how hard it is to be a commuter,” President Marcos said before boarding the MRT train northbound with the First Lady and their children, Ilocos Norte Representative Sandro Marcos, Joseph Simon and William Vincent, last Sunday.
Under the Department of Transportation program, passengers who purchase one ticket will receive three free tickets which would help reduce the travel expense for families, friends, and groups traveling together.
Earlier, President Marcos instructed the Cabinet and agency heads to focus on government projects that address the daily needs of Filipinos.
