Adrian Nocum erupted for a career-high 30 points to lead Rain or Shine to a 109-99 win over Phoenix in the Philippine Basketball Association Philippine Cup at the Philsports Arena Wednesday evening.

Nocum had an great shooting night for the Elasto Painters as he shot 10-of-20 from the field and sank nine of his 13 free throws.

The win by Rain or Shine also allowed San Miguel Beer and NLEX to clinch slots for the quarterfinals.

Jhonard Clarito also dropped a double-double game of 20 points and 10 rebounds for the Elasto Painters as they improved to fifth place with a 5-3 win-loss record.

Kenneth Tuffin led the Fuel Masters with 15 points but it wasn't enough as they dropped to ninth place with a 2-6 slate.
