Eight-division legend has kicked off the second week of his training in preparation for his crack at the World Boxing Council welterweight crown of Mario Barrios on 19 July in Las Vegas.
Pacquiao began to run up Griffith Park after a week of doing the flats at the Pan Pacific Park, his preferred area for morning roadwork.
Though he has been inactive since August 2021, Pacquiao wowed those who came to see him work out during the morning sessions, displaying lightning speed and cat-quick footwork.
In the afternoon, Pacquiao’s workout was supervised by his long-time trainer Freddie Roach and Buboy Fernandez as they all attempt to score a massive upset.
Oddsmakers have installed Barrios, 16 years younger at 30, the betting favorite.
But there are those who are not rulinjg out a Pacquiao victory given his vast experience and the perception that Barrios is the most beatable among the 147-pound champions.
Still, Pacquiao is killing himself in training knowing that he will be up against a younger and fresher rival come fight night.
Pacquiao landed in the US on 17 May with wife Jinkee and the entire team.
