The local goverment of Manila announced Thursday that over 10,000 students at the Universidad de Manila (UdM) will receive their P1,000 monthly allowance for March and April, totaling P2,000 each, from 28 to 31 May 2025.

UdM president Dr. Felma Carlos-Tria said currently enrolled students are required to bring their own ballpens, the original and a photocopy of their UdM-issued RFID card with three specimen signatures, a photocopy of their GO Manila ID, and a printed copy of their student portal showing midterm grades for the second semester of the 2024-2025 academic year.

Tria said the procedure and schedule for the personal handout of the allowances are posted on the official social media accounts of the city and UdM. The payout will cover 10,115 student beneficiaries.

“This small assistance is proof of our full support for our students to help them and enable them to finish college,” outgoing Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna said in a statement.
