Unfolding Perspectives explores the ever-shifting nature of artistic interpretation — how artworks evolve from concept to creation, and how meaning is reshaped through the viewer’s gaze. The exhibition invites audiences to encounter abstraction not as a static form, but as a dynamic process — one that folds time, memory, movement, and perception into layered visual experiences.
In these works, line, texture, color and rhythm become tools for emotional and conceptual exploration. Each piece challenges fixed viewpoints, offering instead a multiplicity of interpretations that unfold with time and reflection.
Through the works of artists Hermes Alegre, J Consunji, Ian Fulgar, Louie Ignacio, Sio Montera, Wilfred Offemaria, Maan Premacio, Jay Ragma, Resty Tica, Valen Valero, and Camille Ver, the exhibition brings together a group of contemporary abstractionists whose practices span generations, disciplines, and approaches to visual language. From deeply intuitive gestures and architectural precision to kinetic compositions and emotive color fields, their works reflect a shared commitment to expanding the possibilities of seeing — and feeling — through art.
As perspectives fold and unfold across the gallery, the viewer is invited to engage in an open-ended dialogue with form, emotion, and the ever-evolving nature of meaning.
The exhibit runs until 24 May at the Altro Mondo Creative Space, 1159 Chino Roces Avenue, Makati City.
