Over 216,000 local and overseas job vacancies from 2,281 participating employers will be offered in 69 job fair sites nationwide on Thursday, 1 May, according to the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).
Major companies, including SM, Robinsons, San Miguel Foods, Aboitiz, Toyota, Honda, Accenture, Epson, and Banco de Oro (BDO), will offer various vacancies to job seekers nationwide.
Job seekers attending the main job fair at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay can apply for positions offered by big companies, such as Union Bank of the Philippines, Meralco, DMCI Construction Company, 2Go Group, and McDonald’s.
Other notable companies joining this year’s list of participating employers include Globe, LBC Express, Asia Brewery, Inc., Puregold, and other legitimate human resource agencies nationwide.
Interested applicants may reach their nearest Public Employment Services Office (PESO) or DOLE regional or field offices to access the full list of venues, participating employers, and available job roles.
Meanwhile, the top five regions with the most number of job offers are the National Capital Region with over 63,000, Central Luzon with around 32,000, Calabarzon with over 18,000, Western Visayas with nearly 18,000, and the Zamboanga Peninsula with more than 13,000 opportunities.
DOLE Secretary Bienvenido Laguesma said this initiative with the private sector to bring thousands of local and overseas opportunities directly to Filipino job seekers reaffirms the DOLE's “dedication to connecting available talent with opportunities in the labor market.”
