BAGUIO CITY — The Commission on Elections Baguio City facilitated the Local Absentee Voting (LAV) for cadets of all ranks at the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) on Monday.
Baguio City Election Supervisor John Paul Martin reported that more than 400 cadets are expected to participate in the LAV at Fort del Pilar, PMA, in Baguio City. He added that other personnel from PMA also joined the absentee voting.
Martin also confirmed that they will supervise the LAV for personnel of the Baguio City Police Office at its headquarters on Abanao Street.
A total of 57,689 voters have been approved by Comelec for the LAV, including 29,030 Armed Forces personnel, 23,448 national police officers, 4,206 government employees and 1,005 members of the media.
The voters will cast their ballots for 12 senators and one party-list organization using automated counting machines, but they are not eligible to vote for local candidates in their respective areas.
