CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga — Region 3 has been hailed as one of the top-performing Department of Health (DoH) operating units in the country in the 2024 Performance Report.

In a press statement released Friday, DoH Central Luzon said that the Central Luzon Center for Health Development, together with its Hospitals and Treatment and Rehabilitation Centers (TRCs), were recognized as the top performers in the country last year.

The DoH cited that the Central Luzon Center for Health Development (CHD) is ranked number one out of 16 CHDs.

The DoH also cited the following hospitals as the Top Performing Hospitals out of 77 in the Philippines: Dr. Paulino J. Garcia Memorial Research & Medical Center, Ranked 5; Bataan General Hospital & Medical Center, Ranked 8; Jose B. Lingad Memorial General Hospital, Ranked 13; Talavera General Hospital, Ranked 14; Joni Villanueva General Hospital, Ranked 21; and Mariveles Mental Wellness & General Hospital, Ranked 23.

The DoH also hailed the Top Performing TRCs out of 23 in the Philippines: Bataan TRC, Ranked 1; and Mega DATRC, Ranked 9.

Meanwhile, the Department of Health Central Luzon Center for Health Development, through its Regional Voluntary Blood Service Program, is in Carranglan, Nueva Ecija on 25 April for the “Defeat Dengue Blood Drive,” a culminating activity aimed at maintaining a robust blood supply system that is essential for critical dengue cases and public health emergencies.

As dengue remains a persistent threat, with severe cases often requiring life-saving blood transfusions, the availability of a stable and readily accessible blood supply can mean the difference between life and death for those in critical condition.
