Senatorial candidate and Makati Mayor Abby Binay is calling on the public to support the full Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas slate, emphasizing how crucial it is to have a united team in the Senate to deliver real change, and actually follow through on campaign promises.

Speaking during a press conference in Dagupan City, Binay reminded voters that electing candidates with different goals or visions will only slow things down in Congress.

“Sometimes we forget that the Senate is a collegial body,” she said. “Even if I win, if my fellow senators don’t share the same advocacies, then how can I push for the reforms I promised?”

Binay stressed that real legislative progress can’t be achieved alone. She said that while some people tend to campaign just for one candidate, it’s vital to rally behind the whole team.

“This can’t be a solo campaign,” she explained. “We all need to be campaigning together. What happens if I win, but none of my allies do? How will I push for anything if I don’t have support in the Senate? You can’t make things happen on your own.”

She also highlighted that their campaign has always taken a team-first approach — no solo acts, no individual spotlights.

“The mindset is always ‘kami pong lahat.’ It can’t be just ‘me,’ it has to be ‘we,’” she added.

Joining Binay in the Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas senatorial lineup are veteran lawmaker Vicente Sotto III and incumbent Las Piñas representative Camille Villar, among others.
