There’s menswear, and there is Benjamin Barker menswear. The Australian clothing brand, founded in Melbourne in 2009, takes pride in its vision of well-crafted, heritage-inspired designs for the modern-day gentleman. They showcase these elements of style in the brand’s newest spot inside Rustan’s Shangri-La Plaza.
The new store also set the stage for Benjamin Barker’s statement-making Spring Summer 2025 collection. Each piece showcases their the brand’s quality workmanship and attention to detail. The suits feature boxier silhouettes, making them feel very now. Paired with a classic shirt, one can go straightforward with a classic tie, or go trendy with a bowtie. The palette of neutral tones also allows for more versatility, as it can work with jeans for casual Fridays or as a matching set for an afternoon with the boys. What makes Benjamin Barker’s clothes popular among the fashionable set is their focus on style and function, giving the wearer that extra confidence boost.
The key pieces in Benjamin Barker’s Spring Summer 2025 offering include the Mayumi Black Tux, Kohyama Black Suit, Sato Houndstooth Suit, Akashi Cinder Suit, and the Matsuda Washed Chino. All sophisticated and versatile pieces that are perfect for the modern man. How do these pieces come together for that polished look? Benjamin Barker founder and CEO Nelson Yap led the way by looking sharp in a light colored coat, khakis and a blue shirt. Benjamin Alves, who hosted the event, was looking dapper in a black oversized suit. Content creator and influencer Mikyle Quizon picked out a white coat and shirt, but gave it a good dose of attitude by wearing it with jeans and black bowtie. LA Aguinaldo followed suit, pun intended, in a summery rust shade.
Like its first boutique in Makati City, which was launched in 2024, the new store offers a wide range of stylish and well-crafted quality menswear, including suits, blazers, shirts, trousers, shoes, and accessories that are perfect for a busy day at work, or an evening celebrating with friends. “The new Benjamin Barker boutique aims to address the needs of modern gentlemen: confidence and sophistication through well-crafted menswear,” adds Rustan’s head of Marketing, Jackie Avecilla.
If looking dapper is the goal, then Benjamin Barker has got all your style bases covered. Now all that’s needed is for you to wear the clothes with some confidence in your step.
